Jackson State coach unappreciative for Mississippi State's donation after bus fire - SportingNews

On May 5, a bus carrying Jackson State University's baseball team caught fire on the highway, forcing the school to cancel the game.

Though no one was injured in the fire, all of the team's gear on board was reduced to ashes.

In response, Mississippi State University donated a box truck full of gear to help Jackson State make it through the rest of the season.

Seems like a nice gesture, right?

JSU head coach Omar Jackson was recently asked what the Bulldogs' generosity meant to the program.

His response came off as cold and unappreciative.

"We couldn't use any of it," he said. "It's a different color."

And, while that may be true, even a "we appreciate them for thinking of us" would have sufficed in this situation.

Not everyone associated with the Tigers shared Jackson's stance.

Junior right-hander Alex Juday replied to us with this tweet.

Perhaps Coach could learn a lesson or two from his team.
