The Jackson community experienced a heart breaking tragedy after a Jackson Prep football player died on Monday afternoon.
Walker Wilbanks was hospitalized on Friday during a football game against Oxford High School.
Walker, a Junior in high school, was known as a superior athlete and was a member of several sports teams while in school at Prep.
WLBT found video today, of Walker being greeted after a home run late last season during a baseball game again Oak Forest.
Walker was a member of the state championship football and baseball teams, and ran track for the school.
Jackson Prep Head of School, Jason Walton, confirms that Walker Wilbanks experienced cramping in one of his legs in the second half of football game. Team doctors said he was also vomiting and complaining of not feeling "like himself".
School officials said he was transported to the hospital by his family where he had a seizure in the emergency room.
