Magnolia State represented in All-America matchups - Mississippi News Now




JACKSON (WLBT) - The season is over for Ole Miss and Mississippi State, but the future is on display in All-America Games. Five Magnolia State natives will play this weekend.


Brookhaven standout Leo Lewis will play today in the Under Armour All-America Game. Kickoff is at 3:00pm on ESPN2. Lewis committed to Ole Miss in September, but several schools are still after his signature. He will wear #5 for Team Highlight. Fellow Ole Miss commit Drew Richmond is also on Team Highlight. The offensive tackle from Memphis will wear #75.


Three Mississippi natives will play for Team West in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Malik Dear signed early with Mississippi State. The Murrah alum will wear #14. Like Dear, Javon Patterson also enrolled early. The offensive lineman from Petal signed with Ole Miss. He will wear #77 on the West line. Jamal Peters helped Bassfield three-peat as 2A state champions. The MSU commit will wear #2. You can watch the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Saturday at 12:00pm on WLBT.


Fletcher Adams will represent the Magnolia State in California. The Brandon linebacker was selected to the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl. Adams is suiting up for Team East. You can watch the game Sunday at 8pm on FOX Sports 1.
