A man wanted in connection to a double shooting Friday has been captured, according to Copiah County officials.
Two people were shot in Hazlehurst around 9:40 p.m. Friday.
Copiah County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Derrick Cubit said the suspect, Henry Coleman, was arrested as a result of a tip just after 7 p.m. Saturday.
Cubit said when officials responded to T. W. King Lane on Friday, no one was at the scene. Both victims were taken by private vehicle to Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital.
The Sheriff's Department contacted the victims at the hospital and found that Kristy Thrasher had been shot three times and her nephew Darius Bailey was shot once in the stomach. Both victims were taken to Jackson.
