Mississippi police officer arrested, jailed after fight - Mississippi News Now

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A Jackson police officer has been arrested after getting into a fight with a man who his wife says was harassing his female cousin.

WLBT-TV (http://bit.ly/1bd4eOh) reports 31-year-old Terence Dewayne Crump of Utica is facing several charges including simple assault. Police say he was arrested Saturday. He is being detained at the Hinds County jail in Raymond.

Crump's wife, Shakeela Magee-Crump, says a female cousin called Crump to say her ex-boyfriend was harassing her. Magee-Crump says when her husband arrived at the home, the ex-boyfriend attacked him. During the altercation, Crump burst a window out of the ex-boyfriend's truck.

It is unclear whether the ex-boyfriend faces any charges in the fight.
