New Jackson development to bring housing, movie theater - Mississippi News Now

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A new multi-million dollar development in Jackson will bring businesses, housing and the first movie theater in the city since the 1990s.

WAPT-TV (http://bit.ly/1JYawNU ) reports the site along Interstate 55 will include a Marriott Residence Inn, an office complex, a law firm, a few restaurants, a bank and a luxury dine-in movie theater.

Developers are planning to break ground on the Marriott this week. Developer Ted Duckworth says more construction will start after negotiations are finalized.

The office complex will start taking tenants by the beginning of 2016.
